addition to the wish list

from randomly blogging around i found a link to
american furnishings
i wish i could remember where i found the link to this great site so i could give that person proper credit for this stunning revelation. i'm adding this bad boy to my not-so-secret wish list.

butik

butik's website is coming shortly... can't wait!
(pardon the unedited images)

receptacular!

i love this glimpse into John Strauss' pantry on apartment therapy.
i also have a thing for glasses bottles and jars so this is certainly my cup of tea.

and, and, and...

i'm now falling for this alexander wang one piece dress.
lovelovelove it.
if you're not currently trying to save money you can go here and buy it for yourself.
then tell me all about how great you look in it so i can live vicariously through your purchase.
i don't know exactly what strikes me about it, but i love the simple sexiness
(although, i could use a few more inches, lengthwise).

fever

for the past few weeks i've been itching to go shopping. i see so many things i want, it almost makes me feel guilty. almost.

Sir Ken Robinson speaks

I would recommend watching this video featuring Sir Ken Robinson. He talks about creativity vs. education and how the importance of enhancing childen's creativity is often overlooked. He is brilliant and very funny, so if you have a spare ten minutes give it a look.

way over due

i'm sure it's a disgrace to post anything regarding Easter at this point, but i must say...
my family and i had a lazy, happy Easter sunday together a few weeks back. we were lucky enough to have my grandma come visit for the weekend.
grandma + Easter sunday = bunny cake
bunny cake has always been a highlight on Easter. it's not that it's the best cake we've ever had, it's not that it has a cute marshmallow bunny perched on top, it's just that she makes it. anything made by my grandmother is special and somehow tastes better than anything else.

i found such a fantastic blog. superspark has some tasty looking recipes and great little stories and tidbits intertwined. i have yet to try any recipes but i'm going to make the tomato paella tonight for din.
yum!

what a wonderful mistake

Mark, our friend David and I went
to see Be Kind Rewind at the local theatre.
When we bought the tickets we just said, 'Three, please.'
We didn't think there was another movie playing instead, so when the credits began to roll we realized that we were mistakenly seeing The Band's Visit.
Seriously, this is the best mistake I've made all year.
I highly recommend this endearing film. It was clever, funny and oh-so-charming.
