Hello friends! I'm super excited to be hosting a giveaway for Amy Waltz Designs with my homegirl Sadie. We had such a fun time styling pieces from SadieDeluxe with gorgeous jewelry from Amy Waltz Designs. We started at Three Sixty Ecotique (an epic boutique in downtown Chico, CA) and used their dressing room as our first setting. Jason Mackey took photos and was ohhhh so patient with us ladies while we changed, styled random combinations of jewelry and giggled over Beyonce references. Amy's jewelry looked so effortless with our "Picnic at Hanging Rock" dresses. Eventually we moved out of the lacy frocks into some shimmery summer goodness. I loved mixing metallics and admittedly, I fell in love with all the jewelry we wore that day. I didn't even want to take a single ring off my finger!

Tintype photos are so very charming and full of magic. The texture and detail are incredible, especially considering the painstakingly tedious process of developing these pictures. Kudos to the uber talented Victoria Will for taking the time to create these images. I highly recommend checking out the entire slideshow featured on Esquire, including a stoic and haunting picture of the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

My neighbor/bff Caitlin is a truly great person. i'm humbled by her goodness and often have "what would Caitlin do" moments in stressful situations, and this usually diffuses my temper. she's a kind and giving soul with a soft spot for animals, and last year started caring for two twin feral kittens who lived in a vacant field near our neighborhood. they started out completely wild, skinny, terrified of humans, and very, very feisty. After a few months of love and nurturing, these wild things softened up and became more brave around people. Now they live with Caitlin and they're basically obsessed with her. They follow her everywhere. Meowing. Pouncing. Doing cat things. She can't even come over for a cup of tea without one of them staring at her through the window like a crazed stalker. Geez, cats. Calm down, would you? Anyway, I love a good rescue story and wanted to introduce these two misfits, Boris and Sasha. Besides, what's more adorable than matching cats?

 I just had to share these awesome pics of my dad in the 70s. The first one I believe is here in California, but the other two are from his travels. He loves to travel and has tons of photos from his time overseas. I cherish them all.

I'm so happy to finally share these photos with you! The final edits by Shannon are so fun and creative. It's so unique to be on the other side of the lens for once, but I had such a great time dressing up and laughing all morning with these babes.
