home of the week: Monique Keegan's Tudor style home, aka Stonehill

This odd mixture of vintage science lab/industrial chic is so alluring. Monique Keegan and her husband Keith restored this hidden beauty in Granville, Ohio a few years ago. The random vintage organizational pieces are exceptional and fit beautifully in this amazing home.
From Country Living, originally seen on unruly things.

home of the week: Nguyen Qui Duc's Retreat in Vietnam

In December 2001 my parents braved a long flight to Vietnam where they spent a month travelling through the friendlier areas in the south and loved every moment of it. They were both thrilled to find there's little animosity towards Americans. To the contrary, they were amazed by my mother's blond hair and wanted to know everything about America, especially California. Everything they've told me about Vietnam makes me want to visit desperately.

I read this article on nytimes.com about Nguyen Qui Duc, who left the country when he was young and returned in 2006 to open a cafe and gallery in Hanoi. In 2007 he found a parcel in the mountains of Tam Dao, two hours outside of Hanoi and decided to build his dream home. He used mostly stone and glass which he obtained from locals and the result is pretty spectacular. Read the full article here and view the slide show here.

Home of the Week: William Spink's Pumpkin House

I couldn't resist publishing my 'Home of the Week' blog post a little early this week when I saw the NY Times feature on the 'Pumpkin House' overlooking the Hudson River.

Belonging to interior designer William Spink, this three story wonder has amazing views of the Hudson, the George Washington Bridge and the Palisades.

home of the week: Anna Campbells San Francisco Loft

Forgive me. I've been sick all week and now i'm up at four a.m. and the words just aren't coming to me. However, i wanted to feature Anna Campbell's home in S.F. I adore the simple creative force and don't even get me started on the typography, and letterpressed prints. She and her husband have a sweet company called Food + Flowers + Style. Love it. And her blog can be seen here. Courtesy of Cookie.
