time to make friends with Puffy

I love my laptop. It's stuck with me for years, and any time I think it might be getting old and slow I sweet talk it with a "come on, baby, start!" Just like an old car. Anyway, this laptop belonging to Peter Lindbergh is incredible. It was a gift from Sean Combs (P. Diddy, Puff Daddy, whatever you want to call him) and engraved by Jona Cerwinske. Can you imagine? Toting around a piece of technology that could easily double for a piece of art... what a gift! Found on Garance Doré.

the grind

Hello and welcome back to the working week!  Oh wait, what's that you say? It's Memorial Day and I shouldn't be working?  But yes, I am working and it's an absolute crime!  My friends are having BBQ's, the sun is shining and I'm cubicle bound.  *sigh*  To all of my readers who are enjoying the sweet taste of freedom today: have fun for me!  ♥

I want to hang out with these ladies.
Fun fact: did you know that 'vespa' is Italian for wasp?

spring in your step

These shoes... *sigh*
They're so fun and perfect for spring. Photo via the Coveted.

My day will be 100% devoted to NOT hearing what happened on Lost last night until I can watch it on Hulu tonight!

funny friday

I sincerely hope you have a wonderful weekend, friends. Remember to find the humor in everything and laugh really big belly laughs as often as possible. ♥

I'm kind of obsessing over tattoos lately. There's definitely a lot of regrettable mistakes out there, but once in a while I see something really unique and inspiring. I already have a few tiny adornments here and there, and my mom would kill me if I got any more, but still... it's tempting.

Mr. Mom

I love this photo spread from Haper's Bazaar, featuring Chris Noth as the hardworking stay-at-home dad and Milla Jovovich as the indifferent breadwinning mama. So cute and fun. Photos by the über talented Alexi Lubomirski.

Side note: The misspelled post title is going drive me insane, even if it is on purpose. {Candy Chang, via Inspiration Lab}

I'm in love with the colors in carpet designer Malene Barnett's home. The idea of painting each room a unique color seems so fresh and lively; each room would be a different experience.

Dita Von Tasty

I loves me some Dita. She pulls off a look that not many women can these days. If I tried to pull off the porcelain mid-century vixen thing, I'd wind up looking like a pasty rockabilly reject. This little video tells the story of the birth of the margarita, a beverage I would bathe in if it weren't for the sticky residue. Ok, enough jokes, watch this kitschy little video and if at all possible, drink a nice, cold margarita while you're at it ♥

Just for a second, I thought the second photo was Drew Barrymore.
Both images from We Heart It.

Cool tattoo. It's done so well, it almost looks fake right?

quite all right

Bowie never loses his appeal, does he? These images are from
the April 2010 issue of Esquire Russia, yet they look so classic like they could have been taken in 1977.
