When my husband and I were first dating, I lived in a tiny dive basement studio.
One day I came home from work to discover he had drawn tons of these
little hearts in chalk, all over my stoop.

It's all about the little things in life and in love, right?
What small yet significant act of love
does your partner do for you?

  5. what a man. no wonder you married him!

my new husband does the sweetest small things- like making the bed, washing all the dishes, washing and folding all the laundry on days when i'm working and he isn't. he also hand makes all of my birthday, valentine and just-because cards. it melts me every time.

  7. cute!

i recently went on a train ride for a weekend to falmouth, and my boyfriend met me at the train station so we could have a coffee before i left - and have a mushy goodbye, of course.

when i was getting the coffees, he slipped an envelope into my bag, and when we were saying goodbye he said 'you will read something on the train, you don't know you have yet...' and said nothing else about it.

i just thought i would get a message from facebook through my phone from him, but when i went into my bag to get out my magazine for the journey, inside was an envelope, inside another envelope, and then the most gorgeous love letter!

    little things indeed!
