Few things send chills down my spine quite like the site of a large boat sinking or on its side in the water. Remember that Italian cruise ship that capsized last year? I can't even look at those images because they fill me with terror! These images from the Guardian are even creepier; perhaps it's the ominous feel of black and white. Am I alone in this or do these freak you out, too?

ReplyDeleteShips are magical to me, especially in these kind of photos which seem to have a special aura about them.
ReplyDeletemeee too. I'm so fascinated. as a child, i could not wrap my brain around the story of the titanic. any time i could read information on it, i'd read it over and over again, imagining the possibility of such a LARGE thing losing its power. There is something totally incredible and freaky about watching such a masterpiece of man-power and technology get slowly eaten up by the ocean. just like that. the ocean wins, no contest. Shiver.
